      • Co chcę pisać?
      • Jak chcę pisać?
      • Dla kogo chcę pisać?
      • Najpierw przeczytać, potem napisać.
      • Sformułowanie problemu badawczego.
      • 1 problem badawczy = 1 artykuł naukowy.
      • Ustalenie zakresu i celu artykułu (aim and scope).
      • Artykuł naukowy jako opowieść, która ma mieć przyciągający czytelnika „flow”.
      • Rodzaje artykułów naukowych, czyli research and review paper.
      • Artykuł konferencyjny czy do czasopisma?
      • Artykuł jedno- czy wielo-autorski? Czyli jeden artykuł na 3 lata czy 3 artykuły w rok?
      • Jak pisać więcej i z sensem?

Opis rozwiązania problemu badawczego – artykuł naukowy
      • Tytuł artykułu jako odzwierciedlenie jego treści oraz magnes przyciągający czytelnika.
      • Jak zbudować dobry tytuł?
      • Słowa kluczowe, ich dobór jest wbrew pozorom istotny dla widzialności artykułu (Key words).
      • Ustalanie listy autorów.
      • Struktura artykułu w oparciu o schemat IMRAD (Introduction, Methods and Materials, Results and Discussion) – dlaczego to takie istotne?
      • Omówienie szczegółowe poszczególnych sekcji artykułu:
            o Streszczenie - Abstract - jako nieodłączny element tekstu naukowego – co to jest? Czy należy go pisać, kiedy oraz jak?
            o Od streszczenia do pełnego tekstu.
            o Wstęp – Introduction – uzasadnienie istotności problemu badawczego; analiza literatury w danym temacie (the state-of-the-art - SOTA); wskazanie luk w aktualnej wiedzy w danym zakresie (research gap); zaproponowanie w jaki sposób tę lukę można wypełnić; wyjaśnienie metod naukowych w tym celu stosowanych.
            o Analiza literatury – the state-of-the-art – po co to komu? Jak przeprowadzić, żeby było dobrze?
            o Metody i dane - Methods and materials – czyli rzecz o metodach naukowych stosowanych w badaniach oraz danych w oparciu, o które przeprowadzona jest dalsza analiza.

      • Lista bibliografii – jaki to ma związek z czasopismem, do którego składam manuskrypt?
      • Spojrzenie na manuskrypt z perspektywy redaktora czasopisma z JCR.

Zgłoszenie artykułu do czasopisma i proces recenzji
      • Wybór czasopisma – wyszukiwarki oferowane przez niektórych wydawców.
      • List do redaktora - cover letter.
      • Wybór recenzentów.
      • Recenzje – major, minor, reject.
      • Ustosunkowanie się do recenzji. W jaki sposób wyjść z opresji?
      • Co po ewentualnym odrzuceniu manuskryptu?
      • Niepisane obowiązki autorki/autora w stosunku do czasopisma, przyjmującego jej/jego artykuł.
      • Otwarty dostęp - Open access – czy warto?

BLOK V - 60 min
Warsztat autora tekstów naukowych
      • Narzędzia ułatwiające pisanie samodzielne i w grupie
            o Word-based
            o Latex-based
      • Narzędzia do zarządzania bibliografią – tzw. menadżery bibliografii
      • Mendeley Desktop – przybliżenie możliwości wybranego programu
      • Napisałes? To teraz to przeczytaj i popraw, a potem daj do czytania koledze lub koleżance. Tworzenie artykułu jako proces.
      • Sprawdzenie językowe tekstu jako standard, o ile nie jesteś biegły w danym języku.

BLOK VI - 30 min
Wyszukiwanie materiałów naukowych
      • Rodzaj artykułów naukowych
      • Słów kilka o wykazie czasopism naukowych i recenzowanych materiałów z konferencji międzynarodowych oraz bazy danych czasopism. Czy warto się tym przejmować?
      • Pełne teksty naukowe. Bazy danych sciencedirect.com; scopus.com, scholar.google.com etc.

Leadership and supervision
• Head of research group on maritime risk and safety – the aim of the group is to publish in high-quality journals and conduct the cutting-edge research in the area of maritime transportation. The core of the group is formed by 5 people from Gdynia Maritime University; however, the group has strong connections with the collaborators from other European countries and Asia. As a result, I am organizing periodic staff exchange and research visits for the group members to improve their competences.
• Supervisor of three doctoral students from Gdynia Maritime University (Krzysztof Wróbel – completed in 2019, Mateusz Gil, Ewelina Ziajka).
• Member of doctoral committee and external reviewer in a PhD thesis of Pengfei Chen, defended in TU Delft, Netherlands, on 10.06.2020.
• A secretary in a habilitation committee of Joanna Szłapczyńska in 2018.
• Secondary supervisor of two doctoral students from Aalto University (Finland) – Arsham Mazaheri (completed in 2017) and Floris Goerlandt (year of completion 2015), the latter defended with
